Based on the characteristics of its spray coating, Ni60 based powder coating is applied to boiler water wall products to resist the erosion of high temperature flue gas on the surface of water pipe and prolong the service life of water pipe. It is characterized by large energy input, and that the heat output is more than 20 times of that of common oxyacetylene flame, flame speed up to Mach 7, temperature about 2600~3200°C, flying speed of molten powder 720 m/s, good coating performance and high bonding strength. The coating sprayed with the same material has good wear resistance, the coating is in a compressive stress state, the shape of powder particles changes after the molten powder impacts the surface of a workpiece at a high speed, and the coating formed by the superposition of the particles with the changed shapes has the precondition that the stress state of the coating is converted from tensile stress to compressive stress. Considering comprehensively, compared with other flame spraying coatings, the coating has lower porosity, higher hardness, stronger wear resistance and remarkably improved service life.

In recent years, the application development at home and abroad is very rapid. It is mainly characterized by being capable of spraying various metals and alloys, ceramics and metal ceramics, plastics, non-metallic minerals, and almost all other solid engineering materials. Various functional coatings such as wear resistance, antifriction, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, heat insulation, insulation, electric conduction, radiation resistance, interference resistance and radiation conversion are prepared. HVOF is a low-input and high-output project, which can be protected or repaired by spraying and surface strengthening, and its service life can be increased by times or even dozens of times.
