Respecting Human Rights

Respect for human rights and diversity is expressly provided for in the EBARA Group CSR Policy and is put into practice at all levels of our business.

EBARA Group Human Rights Policy

一、Core Policies

1.The EBARA Group respects human rights throughout all business activities.

  • A) We respect and support the United Nations International Bill of Human Rights, the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the International Labour Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

  • B)We act in compliance with all local laws and regulations and respect and support internationally recognized human rights for all stakeholders when conducting business activities anywhere in the world.

  • C) We expect all directors, officers and employees of the Group, as well as stakeholders directly linked to the Group's business operations, products or services, to respect internationally recognized human rights.

2. The EBARA Group conducts human rights due diligence.

  • D)We conduct a series of procedures to identify, prevent, detect, mitigate, and correct adverse human rights impacts linked to our business activities, products, or services.

3. The EBARA Group addresses and corrects any adverse human rights impacts of our business activities.

  • E)We implement mechanisms to enable early response to complaints and direct remediation.

  • F)We resolve complaints through dialogue with those affected.

Supply Chain Management

The EBARA Group will pursue mutual prosperity with suppliers by building a long term partnership through fair and equitable procurement activities. CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is one of the key focus areas of our corporate activities, with the aim of improving corporate value, achieving continuous growth and furthermore, creating value for society. To realize this, it is necessary for suppliers, as one of our stakeholders, to drive forward CSR activities in the same way as the EBARA Group. Therefore, we have compiled areas in which we need suppliers’ cooperation in the form of the Ebara Group CSR Procurement Guidelines below. 

We ask for all suppliers’ understanding and for suppliers to promote CSR activities within their own organizations. In addition, we request all suppliers to abide by this guideline.

Social Contribution

With our Corporate Philosophy of making extensive contributions to society in the fields of water, air, and the environment, the EBARA Group has supported the growth of various countries around the world and the solution of social issues. We will apply the “spirit, knowledge, and technology” that we have developed through our business activities over more than 100 years, as we make dedicated efforts toward social contribution activities to support the creation of a sustainable society in accordance with E-vision 2030, the long-term vision of the EBARA Group.
